Animal or plant behavior is often impossible to understand without visual observation. However, imaging equipment is expensive, and setting up behavioral experiments requires technical expertise. High cost and low portability of existing equipment are severe entry barriers to students and prospective behavioral scientists.

To address this issue, we present here Peek-@-Bug, an affordable and portable device that can be used to conduct live behavioral experiments with small animals and plants.
